2nd Shift Filter Press Operator (requires Forklift)
About The Position
Seneca Foods is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and safety-minded individual to join their team as a 2nd Shift Filter Press Operator in Hart, Michigan. This is a full-time, temporary position that could last 1-1.5 years, with the potential to move into other positions afterward. The role involves operating and maintaining filter press equipment, performing checks, and contributing to the overall processing operations. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and clear communication skills
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of forklift experience
- Food Processing experience
Responsibilities
- Operate, disassemble and clean filter press
- Measure and add chemicals
- Wear required safety equipment
- Operate APV – including start-up, shut-down, and cleaning
- Perform checks as needed to monitor syrup brix/PH
- Operate flow meters
- Conduct checks, make adjustments, fill out appropriate paperwork
- Perform duties required of a Processing Employee
- Provide back-up to Glace Tank Room Operators
- Operate pumps
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems
