About The Position

The radiology film librarian maintains the imaging records for Albany Medical Center within our PACS system iSite.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
• 1-3 years Basic customer service or related duties - required
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office applications.
• Communicate well with others.
• Respond and communicate via email effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree - preferred

Responsibilities

• Create and send/receive CD for imaging transfers.
• Monitor Life Image cloud application to upload images from outside facilities.
• Work with radiologists to obtain prior imaging and reports to ensure accurate care for current visit.
• Resolve image exceptions.
• Establish or request imaging connections with various facilities.
• Provide imaging reports to patients and facilities.
• Communicate and coordinate images with hospital staff to expedite patient care.
• Help patients to retrieve reports and send to needed referring physician(s).
• Answer phone calls and communicate with patients, co-workers and referring facilities.
• Work with facilities to share imaging whether by mail, PACS or cloud-based applications.
