About The Position

An advanced position within the Fill department that requires an operating knowledge of complex dispensing and filtration equipment. These individuals will serve as role models and set the example for less experienced technicians. They will assist the technicians, supervisors, and the manager in daily workflow. In addition, this individual will be expected to develop working relationships with other departments such as packaging, planning, quality assurance, etc. While this individual’s priority will be filling product they will be expected to implement continuous improvements within the department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.
  • Constantly required to stand/walk.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic Knowledge of the metric system.
  • Ability to multitask – organize/process several jobs at once.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing filling equipment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement concepts (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate an assortment of dispensing equipment, including fully automated filling lines.
  • Process jobs utilizing less complex equipment such as pipetters, peristaltic pumps, and automated labelers.
  • Complete required paperwork related to the department.
  • Display knowledge of raw materials, staging, work-in-process, storage areas, and production steps, and the general ability to process jobs independently.
  • Accurately describe machine failure(s) to the appropriate department for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Conduct in-process quality control inspection of finished goods.
  • Complete metrology work orders as assigned, including calibration and preventative maintenance of filling equipment and balances.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.
  • Bring forth departmental improvement initiatives by utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S initiatives.
  • Act and think independently.
