Associate Filling Machines Operator
About The Position
KitPackers, a division of Ellsworth Corporation, is seeking a Filling Machine Operator for their facility in Germantown, WI. This is an opportunity to work in a clean, new facility with modern equipment, either independently or as part of a supportive team. KitPackers is a growing leader in packaging high-end adhesives for aerospace, defense, technology, and automotive industries. This role is available for candidates ranging from entry-level associate to senior level, depending on experience. Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in production/manufacturing environment
- Ability to read
- Basic math skills
- Ability to learn how to operate machinery
- Ability to provide basic maintenance to machinery
- Ability to follow safety standards and protocols
- Ability to follow Bill of Material and work instructions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Above 2 years to 10+ years of experience in production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in a custom adhesive, chemical, paint manufacturing or liquid packaging/filling environment
Responsibilities
- Dispensing adhesives and other specialty chemicals or liquids into containers by hand or using various packaging equipment.
- Setting up, adjusting, operating, disassembling, and cleaning basic packaging equipment (Simplex, Ram, G-100 gun, Heat Sealer, Shotmeter and complete Hand Pours) to fulfill requirements in job paperwork.
- Filling samples, dualpaks, bottles, and other basic fills.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area; inspecting and verifying that machines are clean before use.
- Performing material checks, first piece inspections, post-package inspections, and clean checks.
- Assisting lead personnel in training new packagers and other packagers as needed.
- Providing recommendations for continuous improvement and actively participating on improvement teams.
- Completing 5S audits as assigned.
