About The Position

Operates filling line equipment for cleaners and disinfectants. Responsible for reviewing production work orders, pulling and staging materials, ensuring quality and productivity, and setting up and adjusting equipment. This is an on-site position and remote work is not available. Out-of-state candidates will not be considered.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
At least one to two years of filling machine/machine operator experience.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Waterproof, slip resistant steel toed shoes are required.
May be required to be fit tested for respirators and will be required to follow all rules for proper respirator fit including rules regarding facial hair.

Responsibilities

Review production work orders, pull and stage materials.
Ensure proper quality and productivity levels are met.
Set up and adjust equipment (filling, capping, sealing, bottle date coding, bottle labeling, carton machine, carton labeling, carton printing) to ensure accurate and efficient completion of work orders.
Verify all materials are accurately staged in accordance with work order requirements.
Hook up equipment to product source (Tote or Bulk tank).
Adjust pump pressure to filling machinery.
Adjust filler nozzles to accommodate container height and fill level.
Verify fill levels and maintain proper levels through production run.
Adjust conveyor guide rails.
Flush and clean all equipment upon completion of a production run.
Adjust feed guides and capper height.
Adjust tightener – height and roller gap.
Adjust sealer height and verify seal.
Enter proper date code for bottle date coder.
Adjust print head to locate print on bottle.
Install labels for bottle labeler.
Align feed conveyor and outtake conveyor for bottle labeler.
Adjust position of the label on the container.
Adjust carton machine to fit carton.
Align outtake conveyor guides, center to cartoner.
Install label rolls for carton labeler.
Align feed conveyor and outtake conveyor for carton labeler.
Adjust position of the label on the box.
Enter Product, size and date code for carton printer.
Align printer to carton.
Perform work assigned in accordance to company production standards and rates.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all company safety and health policies, including wearing proper PPE.
Utilize company equipment with proper use and care.
Notify maintenance of any equipment needs to ensure safe operation.
