About The Position

This position primarily involves filling product containers from bulk containers. It requires attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and precision. The role also serves as a backup for the Parts Washer, Filler, and Packer/Stacker positions, and assists in maintaining the general cleanliness of the production area. The job involves operating and cleaning fluid filling and packaging equipment, maintaining sanitary conditions, and operating various machinery like floor cleaners and scrubbers. Responsibilities include disassembling and reassembling equipment for cleaning, manual cleaning of various production components, and maintaining accurate written production records. The role also involves monitoring product weight control to ensure quality meets Lucta and Regulatory standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to follow work orders, quality specs, and GMP guidelines.
Ability to follow production schedules.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Frequently required to talk or hear and taste or smell.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Backs up the Parts Washer, Filler, Packer/Stacker positions.
Assists in the general cleanliness of the production area.
Works with other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Operating and cleaning the fluid filling and packaging equipment.
Cleaning the environment of the filling room.
Maintaining sanitary equipment and environment for the packaging of fluid products.
Operating fluid filling equipment at a proficient level, while filling products into gallon, five-gallon, and larger bulk.
Operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment.
Disassembling and reassembling fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning.
Responsible for manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging.
Operating and maintaining equipment of the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, stackers, etc.
Maintaining accurate written production records.
Monitor weight control of products and producing a quality product in a manner that meets Lucta and Regulatory standards.
