About The Position

The Filler Operator position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting the quality system, and ensuring smooth shift transitions through effective communication within the production team. This role also involves supporting technical and maintenance activities, monitoring raw materials and supplies for efficient production, and ensuring an adequate supply of packaging materials. The operator will communicate resource requirements for replenishment, determine acceptable quality ranges for packaging, and coordinate communication between RPS and DE Operators. Participation in, and sometimes leadership of, daily operations meetings is expected. Key responsibilities include the start-up of the filler, monitoring weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of the product, and troubleshooting basic to moderate operating difficulties. The role also requires collecting samples for QA testing, ensuring the correct packaging materials are used, performing filler changeovers safely and efficiently, preparing equipment for the next run (including size changes), and completing cleaning checklists and sanitation of equipment after runs. Package integrity testing is also a crucial part of the job.
