About The Position
The Neil Jones Food Company is seeking a Seasonal Filler Operator to be responsible for the target weights of the product being processed at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August – November.
Requirements
- Able to communicates effectively with others using English language skills.
- Performs work accurately and thoroughly.
- Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety.
- Completes assigned tasks in stressful situations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to November.
Responsibilities
- Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communications, and actions.
- Monitors the amount of fruit in each can coming out of the Solbern filler machine.
- Checks every fifth can of product to ensure the target weight.
- Adds or removes product to hit the target weight.
- Notifies trouble shooter of problems.
