About The Position

The Fill Tech is capable on at least one machine/value stream and is responsible for understanding and executing all safety requirements associated with equipment and process. This role requires clear and positive communication with operators, leads, supervisors, and maintenance. The Fill Tech must be able to operate various material handling equipment, including a fork truck, pallet mover, and barrel cart. A key responsibility is completing same material barrel change-outs within a standard five-minute process time, which includes removing the empty barrel, installing and hooking up a new barrel, performing an approved run-off, and disposing of the empty barrel. The role also involves recognizing and troubleshooting pump and related equipment problems, disassembling and cleaning equipment to standard, and reassembling it for operation. Understanding and ability to use all tools, equipment, and materials, including machines, hand tools, and pallet/drum movers, is essential. The Fill Tech must understand all quality requirements, be able to use and understand all quality and measurement tools, and adjust the process to meet quality standards. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, clean, and correct machine operating problems, as well as complete and maintain all required production and quality paperwork.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate basic Math
  • Must be able to use various hand operated and handheld power tools – chisel, wrench, screwdriver, power driver, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs continuously
  • Must be able to stand and squat for long periods
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs or platforms as needed.
  • Must be able to operate drum cart and push/move heavy barrels
  • Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and execution of all safety requirements associated with equipment and process
  • Communicate clearly and positively with operators, leads, supervisors, maintenance etc.
  • Operate fork truck, pallet mover, barrel cart and various other material handling/moving equipment
  • Complete same material barrel change out in standard five (5) minute process time including removal of empty barrel; installation, hook up and approved run-off of new barrel, and removal and disposition of empty barrel (to good or bad barrel location)
  • Recognize and troubleshoot pump and related equipment problems as part of the process.
  • Disassemble and clean equipment to standard and reassemble to operation in standard time
  • Use all tools, equipment and materials, including but not limited to machines, hand tools, pallet and drum mover etc.
  • Understand all quality requirements and ability to use and understand all quality and measurement tools and adjust the process to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times.
  • Trouble shoot, disassemble, clean and/or correct machine operating problems
  • Complete and maintain all production and quality paperwork required of process
