Fill Room Production / Inventory Specialist
About The Position
The Fill Room Production & Inventory Specialist for Bulk Apothecary supports replenishment of more than 8,500 SKUs sold through the company’s ecommerce store by restocking items in designated locations at its distribution center. Bulk Apothecary is a supplier of natural ingredients and essential oils, operating from a 160,000-square-foot facility in Aurora, Ohio. This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional weekend work or overtime may be required based on demand. The role involves fill-room production and inventory support, scanning and moving produced items into distribution-center locations, and assisting other warehouse departments as needed.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse-related role or position.
- Experience with computers, warehouse management software, office software including spreadsheets, and cell phones or tablets.
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds on a minimal basis and 35+ pounds on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Fill Room Production and Inventory Leads with inventory counts of oils and components in the fill room.
- Label oils.
- Pour down oils for production.
- Assist the team as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in other warehouse departments or perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Take products produced in the fill room and scan them into distribution-center locations for use by pickers.
- Verify counts of produced products and scan them into the proper locations.
- Audit over-stock products and down-stock products when space allows in locations.
- Assist pickers with inventory questions and make movement transactions as needed, including moving over-stock or adding or removing inventory when count discrepancies are identified.
- Notify the Fill Room Supervisor/Manager when issues are identified.
- Take products directly to the Amazon department as required and adjust inventory if products are pulled from a location.
