Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a file clerk
Proactive and flexible
Excellent organizational skills
Communicate well, both in writing and orally
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on business needs is essential

Nice To Haves

Experience in the legal industry is preferred
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as electronic document management systems is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining and updating clients’ files and records on a daily basis
Electronic filing of legal documents within the firm’s document management system
Monitoring and uploading federal and state notices and filings as needed
Responsible for opening files for new client matters
Scanning client files/ records into the firm’s document management system
Assist with closing out client files and records, following the firm’s closing procedures
Back-up other File Clerks when needed
