About The Position

The Ladue School District is seeking an innovative, energetic, and student-centered educator to join the Ladue Fifth Grade Center (FGC). Unlike a traditional elementary setting, the FGC is a unique campus designed exclusively to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of 5th graders. Here, you will help students bridge the gap between elementary and middle school in an environment entirely tailored to their unique developmental milestones. FGC departmentalizes so teachers teach students a specific content. The content for this position has not yet been determined. This is a one year only position. Applicants must not already be under contract in another district for the 26-27 school year.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher.
Missouri Teacher Certification in Elementary Education 1-6 or 5-9 specific content certification required.
Applicants must not already be under contract in another district for the 26-27 school year.

Nice To Haves

Experience in upper elementary is preferred.

Responsibilities

Teaches knowledge and skills to fifth grade students, following the curriculum adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.
Maximizes assessment strategies to promote student learning and growth in all aspects of the curriculum especially in the area of critical thinking.
Maintains familiarity with district and Missouri State standardized tests for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement on such tests.
Teachers are expected to become familiar with the Board policies, rules, and procedures and the district curriculum so that they may be able to carry these into effective operation.
Collaborates with appropriate stakeholder groups within the school and community.
