The Field Trip Administrator is responsible for supporting field trip experiences for Illinois Pre-K-12th grade students through logistical and operational planning, creating lessons and activities for students, supporting educators through development of customized experiences, and marketing. The Field Trips Administrator sits in the Sue Gin Ling Center for Education and Public Programs and reports to the Field Trips Manager. They work closely with the Public Programs team, Family Programs team, the Education Program Assistants, other field trips staff, as well as the Visitor Services Department. The position is responsible for the development, modification, and implementation of field trip classes and field trip in-gallery experiences, as well as field trip planning with teachers, field trip welcoming process, and supporting all aspects of field trips for all Illinois Pre-K-12th grade student groups that visit the museum on field trips.
