About The Position

This role is for a Field Training Officer who will be responsible for training and onboarding all new security officers. The Field Training Officer will provide hands-on training to ensure new officers understand site policies, procedures, post orders, and expectations. This role also serves as a liaison between officers and supervisors, addressing questions, concerns, and operational issues. The Field Training Officer will act as a subject matter expert on security operations and procedures across all shifts, conduct on-the-job training, and provide coaching to improve performance and ensure compliance. Additionally, they will evaluate new officers' performance, provide feedback to supervisors, assist with identifying training needs, and ensure officers are properly prepared for their duties and incident response. Maintaining consistent training standards and reinforcing company, client, and property policies are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
3–6 months security or life‑safety experience
State Guard license
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Experience in training new officers on different security practices and techniques
Vigilant, disciplined, and observant
Communicate clearly and professionally
Stay calm and focused in stressful situations
Reliable and customer‑service oriented
Adapt well to changing environments
Handle multiple priorities with ease

Responsibilities

Control entrances and manage traffic
Patrol buildings and surrounding areas
Escort personnel and materials
Conduct inspections of security and fire exposures
Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports
Respond to alarms and emergencies
Communicate daily with supervisors
Responsible for the training and onboarding of all new security officers.

Serve as a liaison between officers and supervisors, helping address questions, concerns, and operational issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert on security operations and procedures across all shifts.
Conduct on-the-job training and provide coaching to officers to improve performance and ensure compliance.
Evaluate new officers’ performance and provide feedback to supervisors regarding training progress and readiness.
Assist supervisors with identifying training needs and developing additional training when necessary.
Ensure officers are properly prepared to perform their assigned duties and respond effectively to incidents.
Maintain consistent training standards across all shifts and posts.
Reinforce company, client, and property policies and procedures through ongoing coaching and instruction.
