About The Position

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Testing Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for testing the indoor air quality of residential and commercial buildings. The technician will install radon testing devices, communicate with facility owners and coordinators, and ensure testing projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. The company's mission is to create healthy, safe, clean, and sustainable indoor environments across the United States.

Requirements

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Punctual, dependable, and professional
• Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines
• Comfortable communicating with customers, facility owners, and project team members
• Strong problem-solving and onsite decision-making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with basic shipping standards for mailing equipment to remote locations
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Enjoy traveling and working in different locations
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to walk, climb stairs, and work in a field environment
• Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and photocopiers
• Ability to travel up to 100% Monday–Friday, depending on the weekly schedule
• Ability to travel locally by vehicle and nationally by plane as needed

Responsibilities

• Install radon testing devices and ensure proper placement
• Travel locally and nationally to complete testing projects
• Communicate with facility owners and coordinators to ensure successful testing
• Complete necessary paperwork and project documentation accurately
• Meet project deadlines to help ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain consistent communication with project team members
• Make onsite decisions to help ensure successful consultations
• Ship necessary testing equipment to remote locations
• Represent Protect Environmental in a professional and customer-focused manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
