About The Position

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. Responsibilities include: Under direct supervision, tests, installs, maintains, and makes minor repairs on all makes and types of single-phase, self-contained watt-hour meters. Makes voltage and load tests. Investigates consumer complaints; correct the conditions or reports it to the proper authority. May be required to read, install or remove meters; reconnect and disconnect meters and services, assist Field Testers 1st and 2nd Class or perform other related or less skilled work as directed.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of considerable complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available.
• Must be a high school graduate with a good background in the sciences including Algebra, Plane and Solid Geometry, Trigonometry, and Physics, plus courses in electrical theory and electronics.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
