About The Position

Sentrillion is hiring a full-time Field Technology Specialist to maintain computer and camera surveillance systems across a specified geographic region in a federal environment. The systems include computers, data networks, digital video cameras, recorders, power supplies, and fiber optics. The role installs, updates, and maintains hardware and software; maintains asset accountability and detailed maintenance records; and uses electrical theory and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust electronic equipment to required specifications. The position is based in the Champlain, New York area and involves approximately 85% travel. Remote work flexibility is mentioned. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A solid foundation in computers, data networks, digital video systems, and fiber optics.
• Basic knowledge of electronics principles.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including transmission, broadcasting, switching, and control.
• Familiarity with circuit boards, processors, chips, hardware, and software applications.
• Proficiency in using, repairing, and maintaining various machines and tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances.
• Valid driver's license.
• Readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time.

• Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
