Requirements

• 3+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience
• Construction equipment, heavy equipment, or equipment rental experience required
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with: Diesel engines, Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems, Electrical systems, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Drivetrains
• Experience performing both major and minor repairs
• Basic computer skills for service work orders, parts ordering, and maintenance records
• Must have the necessary professional mechanic tools for the position, typically valued at $10,000+

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex equipment failures
• Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel repairs
• Troubleshoot Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation
• Complete service documentation and warranty records
• Assist with field service and customer equipment needs
• Work independently while supporting the branch team
• Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for our customers
• Independently diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate repair
• Inspect, service, test, and return equipment to manufacturer specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance, including fluid changes, lubrication, and inspections
• Complete accurate service and repair documentation
• Perform basic MIG and SMAW welding repairs
