About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking a Field Technician to support program efforts at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), a major DoD Test Facility. The WDTC is the nation’s designated Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) for chemical and biological defense, supporting various testing efforts for the DoD, other federal agencies, private industries, and foreign Governments. This role involves operating field vehicles and equipment, fueling generators and vehicles, and performing other assigned duties in a field setting.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Availability to respond to “after hours” alarms or emergencies.
Willingness to work extended hours with little prior notice.
Capable of working in field conditions.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks that require such protective gear.
A commitment to maintaining a productive and collaborative working environment.
Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must have a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, as well as periodic retests.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver’s Record, and a Criminal Background Investigation.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in field test environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of equipment, such as aerosol sampling devices and test instrumentation.
Fuel up generators and vehicles.
