About The Position

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Technician responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of radon mitigation systems. This role involves interacting with customers, demonstrating equipment, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to company procedures. The position requires flexibility, strong time management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The company is dedicated to creating healthy, safe, clean, and sustainable indoor environments across the United States.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience, or building maintenance preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within and meet established deadlines.
  • Punctual.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and attention to detail.
  • Must have a clean background.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within established timeline upon hire.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of working independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, general labor, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial walk-through evaluations with customers.
  • Conduct diagnostics on air flow, including pressure filled extension tests, generally performed by drilling into concrete/slab foundation.
  • Install mitigation materials, run pipes for ventilation, and install fans.
  • Occasionally install roof boots.
  • Occasionally perform light digging and/or excavation of materials on site.
  • Perform post-installation testing and diagnostics of systems.
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate to customers how to use the equipment.
  • Respond promptly to customer problems or issues.
  • Document job details in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
