About The Position

GeoSonics, Inc., an industry leading construction consulting company, specializing in pre-construction home inspections, seismic monitoring and community outreach is seeking a full-time, entry level Field Technician to join our team at our Raleigh, North Carolina location. As a Field Technician with GeoSonics, Inc. you will travel to various worksites, such as homes, commercial buildings and other structures to conduct pre/post blast inspections, perform on-site vibration monitoring, manage installation, test, repair and maintenance of service equipment.

Requirements

Experience using video and digital cameras
Proficient in computer and technical skills
Legible handwriting
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

Experience or degree in Construction, Geology, Earth Science or related field

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed pre and post-blast inspections of homes, commercial buildings/other structures
Perform on-site and remote seismograph vibration monitoring at mining, quarry and construction operations
Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing
Report preparation
Perform general office duties, including technical report writing and proofreading, use of office machines, and computer software, including MS Office
Provide service and customer support during field visits
Follow company procedures and protocol
Build positive relationships with current and potential customers
Anticipate and act to maintain a safe environment. Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices
