About The Position

USA DeBusk Pipeline Integrity offers turnkey solutions to enable natural gas and hydrocarbon liquid pipelines to operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. Our services are planned, managed, and performed by experienced teams using advanced technologies, and purpose-built specialty systems. We are a trusted resource for pigging support, chemical cleaning and treating, mechanical cleaning, fluid filtration and separation, temporary flaring, emission controls, nitrogen, and other services to help operators meet compliance standards, reduce downtime, and extend the service life of their assets. We are looking to hire a Field Technician to join our team in Midland/Odessa. The Field Technician is a hand-on executor of the work directly performing inspections, excavations, repairs and data collection under the supervision of the Field Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of oil & gas, pipeline, or industrial field experience supporting integrity or maintenance operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pipeline system components and the purpose of integrity maintenance activities.
  • Working knowledge of pig tracking fundamentals including transmitters, signalers, listening devices, and tracking logs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a field crew.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
  • Able to work shifts up to 12-16 hours (day or night).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for each project, including immediate deployment, and perform work at industrial facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Field operating certifications (i.e., forklift), OSHA Basic (nice to have).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing all aspects of work from the job site to the equipment before commencing work to ensure safety.
  • Conduct visual inspections of exposed pipe, coating conditions, and surrounding soil.
  • Ensure all equipment functions properly, adheres to and enforce all safety OSHA guidelines, policy, and procedures.
  • Perform rig-up and rig-down of temporary piping, separations, flares, and chemical injection systems.
  • Assist with pipping operations by performing pig launch and receiving activities.
  • Perform pig washing and simple pig rebuilding tasks under supervision.
  • Recognize basic abnormal operating or pipping condition and escalate appropriately.
  • Assist with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs.
  • Accurately complete daily activity logs, timesheets, and basic field documentation.
  • Comply with HS&E Policies and Safety Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
