About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Field Technician at our rental facility in Hillsboro, TX. This role focuses on maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned machinery, with an opportunity to work on the newest fleet in the industry. The company aims to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. The Field Technician will use EquipmentShare's technology to manage work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose equipment issues. This position offers year-round company-provided OEM training and the chance for career advancement.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of preventative maintenance.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Field Technicians may be required to be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement.
  • This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen.
  • Employment is contingent on passing a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Use technology (laptops and tablets) to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and lube tech duties.
  • Determine the root cause and corrective action for equipment issues.
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
  • Perform maintenance of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and company equipment and tools.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment when required.
  • Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
  • Other duties, assigned as needed.
