About The Position

NWS is hiring Field Technicians in Deerfield, Illinois, to service FreshPure water vending machines located in retail stores. Technicians follow an assigned route, visiting stores weekly or every two weeks depending on the location. At each stop, they clean and disinfect the machine, take and record meter readings, photograph the machine’s condition, submit a service report to the home office, and report damage, mechanical issues, or anything unusual. Each stop takes about an hour, and total weekly hours depend on the number of stores on the route. This is a 1099 independent-contractor role paid at $25 per hour, with mileage and travel included in the rate. Supplies are provided, and a home-office contact is available for support. The role is not a repair job; technicians report technical or mechanical issues so a Service Technician can address them. The position offers a consistent route and flexible, part-time income.

Requirements

Have a reliable vehicle.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Have a smartphone with a camera for photo submissions.
Be attentive to detail and follow the checklist consistently.
Show up reliably for scheduled visits.
Communicate effectively with the home office.

Experience in field services, retail merchandising, delivery routes, janitorial work, or similar work.
