About The Position

Aquaria is pioneering atmospheric water generation technology, creating machines that extract clean drinking water from the air. The company is on a mission to help customers achieve water independence and combat water scarcity. This role involves servicing and maintaining these innovative machines at customer sites. The company emphasizes a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous learning, and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment. The Field Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with installations, and contributing to warehouse operations. Documentation will be AI-assisted, and safety protocols are paramount, especially concerning refrigerant handling and electrical work.

Requirements

  • EPA Section 608 Certification
  • Refrigeration Experience (understanding of sealed systems, compressors, and refrigerant circuits)
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and a digital multimeter
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to drive for extended periods to customer sites in Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and the Gulf Coast area.
  • Basic AI knowledge is a bonus.
  • Computer-Native: Comfortable sending videos, photos, and voice notes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Certification
  • Experience Driving a Forklift (or a desire to learn and coachability)
  • Experience working with R410A
  • Natural Curiosity and genuine passion for learning specialized refrigeration equipment

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems, determine root causes, and resolve issues with atmospheric water generation machines.
  • Conduct end-to-end health checks of machines during service visits.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, and filter replacement.
  • Assist with commissioning new unit installations, including electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration connections.
  • Support warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and equipment preparation.
  • Document service visits, maintenance performed, and issues identified using AI tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including proper refrigerant handling and electrical work.
