About The Position

NWS operates water vending machines in retail stores across the country. We’re building a team of Field Technicians in SILVER SPRING, MD to keep those machines clean, stocked, and running right. It’s straightforward work, it pays well, and you’re in charge of your own time. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role with a pay rate of $28/hr, located in SILVER SPRING, MD. The role offers flexible side work with one store visit weekly, allowing you to get paid to drive your route and work when it works for you. It is ideal for individuals who like working independently, dislike desk jobs, and desire a consistent route.

Requirements

• A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
• A smartphone with a camera for photo submissions
• Attention to detail — you follow the checklist, every time
• You show up when you’re scheduled.

Nice To Haves

• No experience in water systems required. If you’ve done field services, retail merchandising, delivery routes, janitorial work, or anything similar — you’ll hit the ground running.
• Self-starters who don’t need someone looking over their shoulder
• Detail-oriented — you notice things other people miss
• Reliable — your stores count on you showing up
• Good communicators — you keep the home office in the loop

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect the FreshPure machine inside and out
• Take meter readings and log the data on your service report
• Snap photos of the machine condition at every visit
• Submit your completed report to the home office when you’re done
• Call in anything that looks off — damage, mechanical issues, anything unusual
