About The Position

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) partners with clients across utilities, mining, chemical, pulp & paper, and manufacturing industries to deliver innovative environmental, health, and safety solutions. Our highly trained teams provide 24/7 industrial cleaning, hydro blasting, vacuum truck services, and specialized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and full turn-key turnaround services. We also manage waste handling, transportation, and disposal in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking motivated Industrial Field Technicians to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will operate specialized equipment and tools to perform industrial and environmental cleaning at client sites. This includes the safe operation of high-pressure water-blast units and industrial vacuum units to clean customer systems such as pipes, boilers, and tanks. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that is vital to our service operations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to carry/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of performing manual labor outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces, elevated spaces, and hot, wet, cold, or foul-smelling environments during 8–12-hour shifts, often while handling vacuum hoses.
  • Ability to use a respirator in environments with potential chemical or fume exposure; may be required to be clean-shaven.
  • Willingness to work shifts longer than 8 hours and to respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to follow training and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to physically control industrial hydro-blasting and vacuum equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hands-on experience with tools and heavy equipment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time at the office or job site, in uniform, properly groomed, and ready to work.
  • Set up job sites for vacuum truck and other environmental services, including equipment, tools, barricade tape, and tags.
  • Safely operate high-pressure water-blast units to clean customer systems.
  • Follow all GEIR safety standards and protocols.
  • Participate in daily manual and practical activities.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Clean and maintain equipment before returning to the GEIR office.
  • Communicate effectively with the Crew Lead or Field Supervisor regarding safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
