About The Position

Performance Point is seeking dependable, self-motivated professionals to inspect and test newly built homes, ensuring they meet energy codes and quality standards before families move in. This role directly impacts the safety, comfort, and long-term performance of homes. The position offers steady work, independence, and a clear career path for individuals who are ready to deliver. The job involves working independently on active construction sites, which can be subject to varying weather conditions (hot/cold) and may lack electricity or HVAC. Field Technicians will need to climb ladders, navigate unfinished spaces, and solve problems autonomously. Daily local driving to job sites, typically by 8:30 AM, is required. The role experiences busy seasons with longer hours, balanced by slower periods offering more flexibility. It is an entry point to becoming a Certified Energy Rater, with opportunities for advancement into HERS Ratings, ENERGY STAR® certification, advanced inspections, and specialized building performance services. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal vehicle and auto insurance
• Ability to work safely on construction sites
• Professional appearance and conduct

Responsibilities

• Travel to new construction sites in your territory
• Perform specialized energy testing (Blower Door & Duct Blaster)
• Inspect homes for quality and readiness
• Identify issues and create punch lists
• Produce accurate reports for builders
• Maintain equipment and safety standards
• Communicate professionally with customers and your team
