About The Position

Aeroseal is looking for a Field Technician in the Edison, NJ area to assist in improving residential energy performance through air sealing, duct sealing, and diagnostic testing support. This position works directly on active construction sites to help builders meet energy code requirements, pass inspections, and achieve HERS ratings.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a background check, including drug screening, prior to hire
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Valid Driver's License and a clean background required (3 years)
Willingness to travel regionally as needed
Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Construction, insulation, or HVAC experience preferred
Basic understanding of building science and energy efficiency
Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions
Strong attention to detail and quality of work
Ability to work independently and within a team
History in HVAC technician, electrician, woodworking, carpenter, military, farm labor and farming, painter, coatings applicator, contractor, blower door testing, energy rater, HERS, BPI and general construction.

Responsibilities

Perform air sealing installation including caulking, foaming, weatherstripping, and sealing building envelope penetrations
Execute or assist with duct sealing activities on HVAC systems
Support or perform blower door testing and duct leakage testing
Identify air leakage and insulation deficiencies in the building envelope
Work with builders and site supervisors to address performance issues
Ensure compliance with IECC, ENERGY STAR, and HERS program requirements
Document completed work, job conditions, and test results
Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanliness
