About The Position

Canary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering firm specializing in civil engineering related monitoring and instrumentation applications. Projects include the monitoring of mines (surface and underground), earth and concrete dams, bridges, tunnels and buildings. We operate in several markets including construction, mining, geotechnical, industrial and public infrastructure. We are looking for a person with an electronics and instrumentation background to staff our Tucson office and support the implementation and support of our systems at various projects, particularly in the Arizona and New Mexico area. Travel, with single client visits up to a week long, will be required.

Requirements

  • Geotechnical instrumentation and technologies, including piezometers, extensometers, GPS, total stations, etc.
  • Electronic monitoring systems, including charging and datalogging systems
  • Communications including wireless and wired technologies
  • Software, including database technologies
  • Geospatial reference systems and databases
  • Hand tools and power tools
  • Bilingual - Spanish
  • Able to work independently and problem solve
  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented
  • Safety focused
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communicator
  • A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid Passport are required for this position.
