Job description The Field Technician II is responsible for onsite support for our clients including servers, desktops, laptops, network components and software. If you don't want to be stuck behind a desk this is the position for you. Field Technician II primary responsibility will be providing level 2 on-site support all our customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sysadmin/Helpdesk role
  • Strong customer service and communicating effectively
  • Able to manage incidents involving different technologies and vendors from inception to resolution
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle required
  • Minimum High School Degree/GED
  • Technical certifications: MS/O365; Network Certification preferred (Network+ or Cisco certification)
  • Help desk: 1 year (Required)
  • Desktop support: 1 year (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • VMWare and VCenter experience and/or certifications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage Windows Servers
  • Support for Microsoft Server products, including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, RDS
  • VMWare and VCenter experience and/or certifications is a plus
  • Configuration and support of server functions including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and more
  • Service and support of network components: Internet connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and security
  • Strong working knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting for Unifi, Sonicwall, Meraki, Sophos Devices
  • Configuration and support of Veeam backup services and devices
  • Experience using Remote Monitoring tools
  • Support for desktop operating systems, including Windows 7, 8, 10, 11
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain current and accurate records in ConnectWise ticketing system.
  • Communicate to clients: Provide detailed ticket notes, ability to explain issues in a way a client can understand
  • Remain current on IT trends and new technologies
