About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Spring, Texas. This role offers a great opportunity to build a career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI is a prominent US-based company specializing in construction assurance, testing, and inspection for civil and commercial construction, with services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
Ability to work off-shift and overtime as needed.
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and make sound discriminations.
Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
Ability to work over-night hours and off-shift.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Six months of experience in construction materials / density testing.
ACI Certification.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision or following detailed procedures.
Operate testing equipment and conduct tests (e.g., soil, concrete).
Provide assessment of data through reporting.
Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Perform tasks using specific methods to make detailed observations of site activities.
Provide limited interpretation of test results.
Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
