About The Position

Turner Staffing Group is partnering with our client, a leading provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services for civil and commercial construction, to find an Entry Level Field Technician I in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a great launching point for a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry, with hands-on exposure to construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, and more.

Requirements

• 1 year of construction-related field experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
• Willingness to work off-shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30–50 lbs frequently, and 50+ lbs occasionally with assistance.
• Ability to hear and process detailed information through oral communication, including sound discrimination.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally, and to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, and other materials), providing assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide fieldwork.
• Use established methods to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
