About The Position

Puma Staffing is looking for a mechanically inclined individual who can perform industrial equipment repairs, testing, rigging, troubleshoot and repair various electrical mechanical rotating equipment based on the candidate’s skillset and mechanical aptitude.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, plus trade school, vocational/technical school, military, or on -the -job training and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Laser alignment and field balancing ability preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow all safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Read and understand job work orders to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.
  • Complete required documentation for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Have the capability to work alone, as crew member, or as crew leader; Ability to work well with others in a team effort.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair AC and DC motors, generators, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment.
  • Rigging of AC and DC motors, generators, gear reducers, gear boxes, pumps, and numerous types of industrial equipment of various weights and sizes.
  • Maintain assigned truck and service equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Perform special projects, including large and/or special shop jobs.
  • Ability to understand, perform and retain various job -related training and operational and safety procedures.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met and questions are addressed.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight on assignments.
  • Perform all other duties or functions as assigned by the department manager.
