About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for preparing bottles orders to be shipped directly to the client for sampling and providing ALS clients with all necessary sample pick-ups and drop-offs. This role involves providing clients with necessary sampling activities, sample pick-ups and drop-offs, storing samples in a cooler with ice, and delivering them to ALS Sample Receiving. The Field Tech/Courier is also responsible for maintaining an accurate chain of custody record, conveying client requests to supervisors, performing routine vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with field service sampling plans and company manuals. A professional appearance and conduct are expected at all times when interacting with ALS staff and clients. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Knowledge of the region and ability to read maps
  • Ability to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives
  • Willingness to be accountable for own decisions and give 100%
  • Proactive in looking for new ways to accomplish objectives
  • English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients, staff, and management
  • Multi-tasked, organized, detail-oriented, and possesses problem-solving capabilities
  • Good time management capabilities
  • Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work independently
  • High School education
  • 1+ years working as a Courier, driver, messenger, or related position
  • Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare bottle orders for shipping to clients for sampling.
  • Provide clients with necessary sampling activities, sample pick-ups, and drop-offs.
  • Store all samples in a cooler with ice and deliver to ALS Sample Receiving.
  • Provide an accurate and completed chain of custody record for all samples in possession.
  • Convey ALS client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative.
  • Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and/or replacements, and exterior/interior cleaning of the company vehicle.
  • Ensure compliance with field service sampling plan, assigned SOPs, QA manual, and ALS Client Service Manual.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with both ALS staff and clients.
