About The Position

A long-standing surveying and engineering company is seeking to hire survey personnel to perform field surveys on projects throughout Ohio. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years' field experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team/crew.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and walk considerable distances.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Experience with one or all: GNSS, Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial Scanners, data collectors, automatic levels, drones.
• Experience downloading data files on personal computers.
• Familiar with Trimble Business Center, MS Office; Word, Excel.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
• U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ODOT Surveying and Mapping Specifications.
• Registration as a Survey Intern or Professional Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveys on projects throughout Ohio.
• Maintain survey equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
• Download data files on personal computers.
• Keep clear, concise field notes and sketches.
• Review job specifications and determine the best method of completing the job.
• Perform office calculations and public records research.
