The Field Supervisor will manage a group of sub-contractor craftsmen (installers and helpers). This role involves regularly walking jobs to verify readiness for HVAC rough-in and trim installations, coordinating installation dates with the scheduling team, and ensuring jobs are ready for installation. The supervisor will check jobs by phase to assure work is completed and ensure schedule compliance. They will also coordinate with subcontractors and the office regarding punch lists or repairs, review and approve subcontractor invoices, and may schedule inspections with local jurisdictions. Additionally, the Field Supervisor will coordinate and complete paperwork for billable change orders, meet with Builder supervisors to resolve installation or design issues, and manage production-related issues with homebuilders. Building rapport with builder superintendents, ensuring employee training, and seeking continuous improvement are key aspects of this role. The supervisor will provide performance updates and recommendations to senior management, offer leadership through objective setting and delegation, and address performance concerns with constructive feedback.
