About The Position

Savannah, GA | Supervising Savannah, Augusta & Charleston Markets Build Your Career in the Field — Not Behind a Desk Madison Telecommunications, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to lead and support broadband installation technicians across our Savannah, GA; Augusta, GA; and Charleston, SC markets. This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who understands installation work and enjoys coaching technicians, solving problems, improving performance, and maintaining high standards for quality and safety. The position is based out of Savannah, Georgia, but regular day travel throughout Savannah, Augusta, and Charleston is required. Overnight travel is expected to be minimal. IMPORTANT – FIELD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Applicants must have at least 3 years of hands-on field experience in cable/broadband, security, satellite/DISH, telecommunications installation, or a closely related installation field. Applicants without relevant field installation experience will not be considered for this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant field installation experience in cable/broadband, security, satellite/DISH, telecommunications, or a similar installation environment
  • Strong understanding of field installation practices, troubleshooting, quality standards, and technician workflows
  • Ability to coach, train, and hold employees accountable for performance expectations
  • Comfortable reviewing KPIs and using performance data to identify problems and develop solutions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to spend the majority of the workday in the field
  • Ability to travel regularly between the Savannah, Augusta, and Charleston areas
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with working in a field installation environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a field-based or technician environment.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull and interpret data to develop action plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coaching and mentoring technicians.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Employee must physically be able to drive and maintain an acceptable MVR through our insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred, but strong field technicians with demonstrated leadership ability and the required industry experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific metrics or performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Coach & Develop Technicians – Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback to help technicians succeed.
  • Manage Performance & KPIs – Monitor individual and team performance metrics, identify trends and performance gaps, and hold technicians accountable for established expectations.
  • Develop Action Plans – Analyze performance data and create individual and team action plans to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and other key metrics.
  • Perform Quality Inspections – Conduct required field quality inspections to verify that installations meet company and client standards.
  • Conduct Vehicle & Equipment Inspections – Complete regular truck inspections to ensure vehicles, tools, equipment, and required safety items are properly maintained.
  • Provide Field Support – Work alongside technicians in the field to provide guidance, troubleshoot installation issues, and address performance or quality concerns.
  • Maintain Documentation – Complete accurate and timely documentation related to inspections, coaching, training, performance, and corrective action.
  • Promote a Safety-First Culture – Ensure technicians follow company safety requirements, OSHA standards, and established safe-work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
