About The Position

Supervises the field construction of a complex, high-profile multifamily project, including its organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. Responsible to protect and promote the interest of Shaw Construction in all matters.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of building construction experience required at the Superintendent level for ground-up projects between $20M - $100M.
Multifamily construction experience required.
Hands-on experience with shoring systems and concrete excavation.
Working knowledge of stormwater management and compliance.
Experience coordinating with surveyors and shoring contractors.
Proficiency with drone operation or field documentation technology a plus.
Strong documentation and paperwork management skills.

Four-year college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the on-site construction activities, including studying and understanding contract documents, organizing and leading the division of work among the on-site Shaw team, and reviewing subcontractor scopes of work.
Develop and implement site planning, logistics, build strategy, and procedures for work execution, with particular emphasis on shoring systems, concrete excavation, and stormwater management.
Develop, monitor, update, and communicate the P6 CPM progress schedule.
Establish and enforce a comprehensive project safety & security program.
Coordinate, schedule, implement, and check the work of subcontractors, including surveyors and shoring contractors.
Develop and implement the Shaw 1-2-3 Quality Control program, including conducting pre-phase meetings, first day inspections, scheduled inspections, coordinating 3rd party tests and inspections, maintaining a master deficiency log, and documenting the program in company software.
Maintain an on-site copy of record of documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, and As-Built drawings.
Implement a process for submittal review and approval and a process for requesting clarifications/information (RFI).
Develop and implement a plan for jobsite housekeeping, temporary heat, enclosures, power and lighting, material storage, handling and hoisting, and vertical movement.
Partner with Shaw Self-Perform group to develop a plan for labor, equipment, budget, material inventory and control, code tracking and management; implement, inspect, and manage stormwater compliance.
Utilize drone technology and other field documentation tools to support project oversight and reporting.
Document project performance, including daily reports, time cards, safety inspections and training, safety photos, schedule updates, QA/QC inspections, subcontractor meeting minutes, subcontractor deficiency notices, schedule and document Owner inspections and testing, obtain all necessary permits, coordinate inspection agencies, handle job labor relations, facilitate dispute resolution, manage building turn-over, and assist with project closeout.
Participate in company training, assist with pre-construction including estimating and quantification, participate in presentations and assist in development of proposals, participate in industry organizations, and mentor/coach Field Superintendents and Engineers.
Supervise all Superintendents and Foremen as assigned to the project.
