About The Position

We are seeking a high-level Superintendent to manage all on-site operations for major sports field projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the field, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of extensive experience in a similar role in construction (References required).
  • Experience in drainage installation, grading, reading plans, and understanding grades
  • Familiarity with construction management software
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Must demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and cooperation in team settings
  • Must be able to work 50-60-hour workweeks outdoors (employees receive overtime pay according to state and federal law)
  • Must be able to communicate with the supervisor and follow instructions
  • Must be able to follow safety guidelines while working on a construction site
  • Must be willing to submit to post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing as part of the SCG drug-free workplace
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Must be willing to travel extensively, per diem provided

Responsibilities

  • Direct all field personnel and subcontractors, coordinating their schedules to ensure a smooth flow of work without bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule, identifying critical path milestones and adjusting for weather or supply chain delays.
  • Enforce a zero-tolerance safety culture. Conduct OSHA-compliant site inspections and ensure all workers have the necessary training and PPE.
  • Monitor project costs and manage the efficient use of heavy equipment and labor.
  • Provide project progress, a three-week look-ahead, material needs, and any concerns regarding the project drawings with the construction and project manager.
  • Maintain meticulously detailed daily logs, progress photos, and reports on any incidents or deviations from the plan.
