About The Position

The Field Specialist, under direction of the Operations Manager & Director of Operations, has the primary job function to support the safe and efficient delivery of API 510/570/653 inspections of aboveground storage tanks and pressure vessels. As a Field Specialist II, you will be responsible for: Maintaining a safe work environment and insure the use of proper safety procedures and equipment. Assisting in the successful completion of all field projects as directed. Responsible for accurate communications with all crew members. Must be able to carry out directions of the crew Foreman. Maintaining punctuality and perform all duties professionally. Performing NDE tasks as required. Performing all work and travel safely.

Requirements

  • Have 2-4 years of industry experience.
  • Have experience with a field service company will be required.
  • Have the ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors and customers.
  • Must be willing to travel when needed (approximately 75% travel), with little notice including travel overnight and by air.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Have valid driver’s license, have or ability to obtain passport, TWIC card (homeland security).
  • Have the ability to pass background and drug testing.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and tight spaces.
  • Must have knowledge or certified to perform MT, VT, MFL, PT and other NDE methods as required.
  • Must have adequate vision/corrective eyewear and be able to distinguish colors
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders frequently and repetitively
  • Must be available by phone during nonstandard working hours
  • Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test, if required
  • This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.
