Field Specialist - Cased Hole Completions
About The Position
This role includes installation of completion equipment as part of our CHC/R&S team. This Field Specialist will be based primarily in North Dakota working 21 days on and 7 days off on a rotational schedule. As a Field Specialist – Case Hole Completions you will be responsible for: Running medium to high-risk applications in Cased Hole Completions operations. Installing downhole completion equipment at the rig site under minimal supervision. Providing detailed daily updates/reports for operations on the rig. Ensuring supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job. Installing equipment in line with operating procedures to ensure flawless execution and minimizing down time for our customers. Providing front-line support with customers and accurately completing and submitting all paperwork prior to or upon completion of job in a timely manner. Continuing to expand and apply application knowledge and expertise to include applications of increasing complexity. Communicating effectively with customers and other team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Willing to be on call 24/7 during days on
- Able to perform hydraulics calculations on paper (volumes, displacement, pressures etc.)
- Great communication skills with fluency in English
- Able to effectively use all Microsoft Office programs
- Able to work a rotation of 21 days on and 7 days off
- Valid work authorization in the country of employment
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years running completion equipment (packers, plugs, cement retainers)
- Exceptional computer skills
- Knowledge of workover and drilling rigs and operations
- Experience performing hydraulics calculations and knowledge of how fluid reacts downhole
