About The Position

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist - Artificial Lift System to join their Field Service team. This role is a vital member of the Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) team and is responsible for carrying out preparation, mobilization, and infield deployment activities for key technologies. The position involves performing installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment in offshore and onshore oil and water wells, assisting with monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing downhole ESP equipment to maximize well productivity and ESP run life. The role requires frequent travel on domestic or international assignments, often at short notice, and may involve working unsupervised. All business activities must be conducted in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of Artificial Lift and ESP experience
  • Demonstrate basic Computer skills
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Have mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Be willing to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Be able to pass drug and background check

Responsibilities

  • Performing installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment in offshore and onshore oil and water wells, under general supervision. May be required to work unsupervised.
  • Assisting with monitoring, trouble shooting and testing downhole ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
  • Traveling on domestic or international assignments and time away from home, often at short notice.
  • Handles special projects as assigned.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
