The San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School (SJCC+CS), founded in 1987, is a pioneer in urban conservation corps, dedicated to empowering young adults aged 18-27. SJCC+CS offers a year-long paid workforce development program and operates as a WASC-accredited charter high school, enabling individuals who have aged out of the traditional system to earn their diplomas. The organization fosters an engaging work environment that emphasizes growth, teamwork, and positive community impact. The Field Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in implementing SJCC+CS's mission by utilizing leadership, supervisory, and technical expertise to enhance the educational and work skills of young people while contributing to the preservation of the community's natural landscape. This role involves overseeing various environmental field projects, such as trail maintenance, invasive species removal, native habitat restoration, beautification, and fire fuel reduction, with a team of 4-9 Corpsmembers.
