Seeking a safety-conscious team player to service, troubleshoot, repair, and commission rig control systems and integrated equipment on drilling rigs. Tasks involve working with variable frequency drives, electrical and communication systems, hydraulic and computer controls, motors, DLR networking, fiber optics, Converteam drives, ACS800 ABB, transformers, generator controls, Engine ECM, code upgrades, BOP controls, accumulator functions, gas detection, CAT ET software, E3 modules, and completing both preventive maintenance and unplanned repairs. Must be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, have strong computer skills, and be familiar with test equipment including oscilloscopes, ground fault meters, meggers, multimeters, fiber testers, amp clamps, and meters. Understanding of electrical circuits and motors is required. This position will be assigned to one drilling rig location, and housing will be on site.
