Requirements

  • 1 – 3+ years of experience with instrumentation, industrial electronics, or emissions/environmental monitoring systems.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, instrumentation, environmental science, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, software and electrical aptitude.
  • Experience and familiarity with MS Office programs.
  • Generalized experience with different software programs and ability to learn new programs an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel as needed.
  • Honesty and transparency in all aspects of the role are critical to success.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work with basic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment/tools up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, with occasional multi-day trips.
  • Occasional Fly-in and Fly-out work required.
  • Technician is responsible for providing their own work truck and valid insurance appropriate for field service demands.
  • Ability to provide secure and covered storage space for store parts and equipment out of employee's home base – roughly equivalent to 200 square feet.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, and commissioning of emissions monitoring instrumentation at client sites.
  • Coordination of installation schedules with clients, site contacts, and internal engineering teams.
  • Maintenance and repair of monitoring equipment.
  • Diagnosis and repair of equipment malfunctions in the field, minimizing system downtime and data loss.
  • Maintenance of accurate inventory of spare parts, consumables, and forecasting of equipment needs.
  • Clear communication of equipment status, service needs, and compliance risks to clients, supervisors, and internal engineering/compliance teams.
  • Providing clients with basic training and guidance on day-to-day system operation, where appropriate.
  • Compliance with all company, client, and OSHA safety policies, including site-specific safety orientations and permit requirements (e.g., confined space, hot work, working at heights).
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all client and internal safety protocols.
  • Maintaining equipment uptime and data availability at or above client and internal expectations.
  • Upholding Qube’s exceptional safety record.
  • Delivering a positive, professional client experience during all site visits.
  • Continuing to aid in the development and evolution of company assets both physically and digitally.
