We’re seeking a skilled Field Services Technician III to join our field services team in Conroe, TX. In this role, you’ll independently perform routine and complex, high-priority sampling assignments, collect critical environmental data, troubleshoot equipment in the field, and help ensure every sample meets strict quality and regulatory requirements. From water-treatment facilities and groundwater sites to distribution systems and other monitoring locations, you’ll work directly in the field while coordinating with clients, laboratory personnel, and operations teams. Your technical skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail will keep projects moving and deliver the reliable results our clients depend on. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused problem-solver who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of assignments, and making an impact beyond the laboratory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of hands-on professional experience in environmental field sampling, groundwater monitoring, and water-quality testing
  • Demonstrated experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting composite or automated field sampling equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic, field documentation systems
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or relevant vocational or technical training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, complex, high-priority, and site-specific environmental sampling in accordance with approved methods and regulations
  • Travel to client locations to collect, pick up, and deliver samples according to assigned routes and schedules
  • Protect sample custody and integrity while meeting preservation and regulatory holding-time requirements
  • Deploy, retrieve, program, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain composite sampling equipment
  • Verify sampler operation and document maintenance, corrective actions, and field activities
  • Conduct field inspections at water-treatment facilities, well sites, distribution systems, storage locations, and other sampling points
  • Perform required field measurements, observations, and documentation accurately
  • Identify and resolve routine sampling, site, and equipment issues, escalating complex concerns when needed
  • Complete chain-of-custody records and required paper and electronic documentation
  • Perform in-house sample triage by verifying containers, preservation, labeling, sample condition, and documentation
  • Prepare, stage, and replenish sample kits, coolers, equipment, and field supplies
  • Coordinate with laboratory and operations teams to support timely sample processing and successful project completion
  • Build positive client relationships through professional, responsive, and courteous service
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
