About The Position

The Field Services Specialist role involves planning, coordinating, and optimizing daily field service activities, including scheduling crews, equipment, and transportation to meet customer and operational requirements. This position serves as the primary point of coordination between customers, field teams, and internal functions such as sales, compliance, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless service delivery. The specialist is responsible for ensuring all field operations are executed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. Key duties include monitoring service execution in real time, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize disruptions, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation of field activities for billing and regulatory compliance. The role also involves analyzing operational data and performance metrics to identify trends and improve efficiency, supporting waste profiling and coordination for hazardous and non-hazardous service lines, and collaborating with operations and leadership to standardize processes. Effective communication of service expectations and updates to all stakeholders is crucial, as is supporting audit readiness and compliance reporting through organized record-keeping. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in field services, environmental services, logistics, or operations coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); ability to analyze and manage operational data.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve in real time and make sound decisions with limited direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across field teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service quality.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hazardous and/or non-hazardous waste operations strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, DOT, OSHA) preferred.
  • Experience with work order management, scheduling systems, or CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite) preferred.
