World Oil Environmental Services offers competitive hourly pay. We are seeking an experienced Local Field Services Commercial Driver/Technician for a Full-time position in Compton, CA. The Field Services Driver/Technician performs a variety of field service requirements necessary to Operations department. This role must be knowledgeable in using machines and tools to be successful. The Field Services Driver/Technician reports directly to the Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Commercial Class A/B Drivers License with all endorsements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50LBS.
  • Manual and Automatic Transmission required
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday (available to work on Saturday with advanced notice). Varied shift hours based on scheduled work.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle and maintaining a Commercial Class A/B drivers license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of field service requirements, including but not limited to, tank cleaning, confined space entry, high pressure steam cleaning, hydro jetting, blasting, and others.
  • Performs confined space entry decontamination procedures for customers and internal projects.
  • Works in IDLH and extreme hazardous atmospheres under Level A or B PPE.
  • Completes proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintains compliance.
  • Operates 4600 PSI hot water pressure washers outside and inside confined spaces.
  • Operates 7000 PSI hydro blasting and jetting machines and inside and outside confined spaces.
  • Works with thermal, chemical, and pneumatic processing equipment for air purging and flushing.
  • Performs sampling procedures on tanks, pits, barrels, clarifiers, machinery, trucks, cooling towers, and unknowns.
  • Isolates, bleeds, and drains high pressure steam and chemical lines inside and outside confined spaces.
  • Responds immediately to World Oil spills and communicates with customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
