About The Position

Innovasea Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Services Architect (FSA-DM) in Baton Rouge, LA. This role involves working directly with customers in the aquaculture industry to understand their building project requirements, preparing detailed proposals, and designing building projects. The architect will also oversee staff in developing project drawings and studies, prepare complex project estimates, and ensure construction aligns with design specifications by visiting worksites. This position requires managing relationships with both external customers and internal teams, including design, finance, manufacturing, and procurement. Significant travel (approximately 50%) to locations in the USA, Canada, and Mexico is expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related, or foreign degree equivalent.
• 24 months of experience as an Industrial Designer or related.
• 24 months of experience in the design and management of marine fish hatcheries.
• 24 months of experience assessing water quality and determining treatment plans.
• 24 months of experience with water treatment equipment, including troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine requirements for their building projects in the aquaculture industry.
• Prepare proposals for customers, including those for design services, construction supervision, or post-construction inspections.
• Design building projects in accordance with customer requirements, including detailed drawings showing appearance and interior structure.
• Direct staff in the development of project drawings and studies.
• Prepare detailed estimates for complex projects, including requesting and analyzing supplier quotes and integrating this information into customer proposals.
• Visit building worksites to ensure work is being done in accordance with design and construction drawings.
• Manage relationships with customers and internal parties, including other designers, drafting personnel, finance, manufacturing, and procurement and logistics.
